Going to the Sun Road
Going-to-the-Sun Road is the name of the main path that cuts through Glacier National Park. The road spans 50 miles, climbs over 6,600 feet and crosses the continental divide. I did the drive for the first time going west to east in the early morning and it really does seem like you're driving into the sun. Along with that brilliant sunlight, you have glacier lakes that are a stunning blue like no other body of water. Wildflowers dot the grassy mountainsides, as trickles of water slip noisily through the landscape, cutting their path from melting glacier to still lake.
